Fluffy Retreat came about by chance. I had, for a few years, been used to taking in ferrets in urgent need of care. Those with longer term health problems, with a limited prognosis, live out their days here where possible. The name was just one of those things said as a joke in conversation that ended up sticking.
In 2010 I moved into my current premises and started taking in emergency rescue cases in my area. It was not until the spring of 2011 that Fluffy Retreat officially opened it's doors as a small ferret rescue. Fluffy Retreat also works with other local rescues in undertaking foster care for residents who need longer for rehabilitation.
Fluffy Retreat became a registered charity in October 2015.
Throughout the year I have ferrets available for rehoming. These can be found on the adopt a ferret page.
